Singapore Day 1 – Little India

Finally a break from work :D Here’s my most anticipated trip for this year.

My travel friends and I booked a flight to Singapore last March with Tiger Airways. The round trip ticket cost P4194.52  ($91.84) each which is not bad since there’s a promo.

It’s an early check in for us so no breakfast and so sleepy head.  We arrived at NAIA Terminal 1 (not sure why they don’t renovate this airport, most of international plane land here sana they can make it look international din)

Terminal Fee: P750
Travel Tax: P1620

Immigration might ask you:
1. What company are you working and will ask you to present your company ID
2. What’s your purpose going to SG

Here’s the details of our flight:

Flight Details

The flight got delayed for around 30 minutes which we were not sure why.

This is my first time flying with Tiger Airways so here’s my review.

Tiger Airways

1. Since its a budget airline expect that it would be like Cebu Pacific Airline in terms of how it looks like.
2. You can not take a picture of their crew so be careful when taking a picture inside the plane.
3. Don’t expect that their crew would be stunning beautiful/handsome, I think budgeted din sila :P During our return flight some of the stewardess were quite snooty especially there’s a kid crying out loud the whole trip (well kahit naman kame na imbyerna kase di maka relax sa 3 hour trip but its not our job to smile :) )
4. Delayed flight (maybe not their fault)
5. SG has their own airport for budgeted planes so don’t expect to land on their stunning Changi Airport. Plane will land first to the  budgeted airport then you will just take a shuttle to the main Airport.

Budget Terminal Shuttle

But for 4k roundtrip ticket no complain na!

After getting our luggage we proceed to the MRT we bought the EZlink card that we used to go around (card can be used in MRT and Bus)

From Changi Airport we drop off to Clarke Quay where River City Inn is located.

We just check in our luggage since we will be staying in KL Malaysia first. We were already hungry so we took our lunch at Clarke Quay Central Mall

First bite – Curry Cafe

-

Rendang Mutton (SGD 4.00)

Rendang Mutton – Rendang is a traditional Malaysian recipe for a classic aromatic curry of lamb or mutton coked in coconut milk flavoureed with chillies, tamarind and oriental spices.

Since there still a lot of time before we board a bus to KL we went to Little India.

Little India

Little India is an ethnic neighbourhood found in Singapore that has Tamil cultural elements. Little India lies to east of the Singapore River—across from Chinatown, located west of the river—and north of Kampong Glam. Both areas are part of the urban planning area of Rochor. (wikepedia)

Here you can see a lot of India’s culture like temple, colourful architecture and artistic side. If you’re adventurous you can try different types of food and go shopping.  (long walk so bring umbrella super init )

After a long walk and a little rest we now proceed to HarbourtFront Centre where the Aeroline Bus is waiting for us to get to KL Malaysia.

  3. i flew with airasia 3x and saw other FA from other airlines, napansin ko din na hindi qualifications sa isang FA ang maganda or gwapo. at least open to all ang positions. satin lang talaga dapat flawless ang isang FA. not sure why. hehe
